Do I need to sign a long-term contract?

No long-term contracts here. Just a simple engagement letter. Before we begin, you'll receive a clear, straightforward engagement letter that outlines the scope of work, how we'll collaborate, and what's needed from your end. It's about making sure we're both on the same page from the start.

What if my books are really behind (or a mess)?

That's okay - I specialize in catching up and cleaning up books. Whether it's a few months or a few years behind, we'll get everything sorted, organized, and accurate.

What software do you use?

QuickBooks Online is my go-to, but I'm also experienced with QuickBooks Desktop, Sage Intacct and Sage 50. If you already have a system in place, I'll meet you there - no need to reinvent the wheel.

Can you meet in person if I'm local to Austin?

Yes! If you're in the Austin area and prefer hands-on help, I'm happy to come to your office. This is especially helpful for working directly in QuickBooks Desktop or Sage 50 when remote access isn't ideal.

Do you work with individuals or only businesses?

I primarily serve small businesses and solopreneurs, but if you're an individual with unique bookkeeping needs, let's talk and see it it's a good fit.

What certifications and training do you have?

I completed over 60 hours of continuing education in Principles of Accounting through Austin Community College. I'm also a QuickBooks Certified Bookkeeper and Intuit Certified in Payroll. My hands-on experience in multiple industries gives me a strong foundation in real-word bookkeeping - not just textbook theory.

Have you worked with businesses like mine?

I've supported restaurants, real estate professionals, general contractors, and nonprofit organizations, along with multi-entity operations at a CPA firm. I understand the nuances of different industries and can adapt accordingly.

What's your process when you start with a new client?

I begin with a conversation to understand your current books, goals, and pain points. From there, I review your file (or set up a new one), outline what's working and what needs attention, and create a roadmap for moving forward, whether that's cleanup, monthly support, or something else.
